Meet the founder

Hi! I’m Rebecca, the founder of Salt & June. I’m a college student from a small coastal town in Connecticut, currently studying Psychology and Neuroscience and competing as a Division 1 cheerleader. I started Salt & June during the early days of the pandemic, and what began as a creative outlet quickly became something much more meaningful.

Making jewelry helped me feel grounded during a time of so much uncertainty. I started with ocean-inspired pieces that I gave to friends and family as a way to stay connected, and before I knew it, people began asking for more. Sharing my work on Instagram was a big step out of my comfort zone, but the support I received encouraged me to keep going and eventually turn this little hobby into a small business.

Salt & June is deeply personal to me. It's inspired by my love for the ocean, the feeling of summer, and the people closest to me, especially my twin sister. We were born in June, and naming the business after her felt like the perfect way to tie in both family and the season that inspires so much of what I create.

As a student, I understand the importance of finding pieces that feel special but are still affordable, which is why I focus on making jewelry that’s both thoughtful and accessible. Every piece is handmade with care and meant to bring a bit of coastal calm into your everyday life.

I’m incredibly grateful for the support that’s helped Salt & June grow into what it is today. I hope each piece reminds you of the warmth, connection, and ease of being by the sea.
